떠올림 개인정보 처리방침

1. 요약

떠올림은 저작권이 끝난 문학 원문에서 하루 한 문장을 위젯에 보여 주고, 담아 둔 문장을 며칠 간격으로 다시 떠올리게 하는 앱입니다. 계정과 로그인이 없고, 담은 문장과 사진은 기기 안에 두며, 운영자 서버로 아무것도 보내지 않습니다. 문장은 앱에 들어 있어 인터넷 없이 나옵니다. 광고와 추적, 분석 도구가 없습니다.

2. 기기 안에 저장하는 것

담은 문장(꾸러미에서 담은 문장과 직접 담은 문장), 작가와 작품, 메모, 떠올리기 일정과 스스로 매긴 기록, 써 본 시각은 앱 전용 저장소의 파일에 둡니다.
직접 담을 때 찍거나 고른 쪽 사진과 고른 자리도 같은 저장소에 둡니다.
2.0 이전 판에서 올라왔다면 그때의 서재 기록(책 · 영화 · 드라마, 표지, 책등 사진, 진도)이 파일에 그대로 남아 백업과 동기화에 포함됩니다. 2.0 화면에는 보이지 않습니다.
이 파일들은 iOS 파일 보호(기기를 켠 뒤 처음 잠금을 풀기 전에는 읽을 수 없는 등급)로 저장하며, 기기 백업(iCloud 백업 포함)에 들어갑니다. 백업은 Apple 이 이용자의 Apple 계정에 보관하며 운영자는 볼 수 없습니다.
알림 시각, 문장 언어, 위젯 꾸미기, 화면 모드, 시작한 날 같은 설정은 앱 설정에 보관합니다.
저장 파일을 읽지 못하면 그 파일을 지우지 않고 앱 안에 따로 비켜 둔 뒤, 한 단계 전 판으로 엽니다.

3. 권한과 기기 안 처리

카메라: 직접 담기에서 책 쪽을 찍을 때만 씁니다. 사진에서 글자를 알아보는 일은 Apple 의 기기 안 글자 인식으로 이 기기 안에서 하고, 사진과 인식한 글을 어디로도 보내지 않습니다.
사진 고르기: 시스템 사진 선택 화면에서 직접 고른 사진만 앱으로 가져옵니다. 사진 보관함 전체를 읽는 권한은 요청하지 않습니다. 문장 카드 그림을 사진 앱에 저장할 때만 더하기 권한을 묻습니다.
알림(선택, 기본 꺼짐): 고른 시각에 오늘의 문장과 떠올릴 차례 수를 알리는 알림을 이 기기에서 계산해 예약합니다. 알림에 실리는 문장은 앱에 들어 있는 공유 저작물이며, 직접 담은 글은 싣지 않습니다.
마이크, 음성 인식, 위치, 연락처, 캘린더, 건강 정보 권한은 요청하지 않습니다.

4. 인터넷을 쓰는 경우

운영자 서버: 2.0 은 운영자 서버를 부르지 않습니다.
원문 보기: 문장의 '원문'을 누르면 그 문장이 실린 공개 페이지(위키문헌 Wikisource, 青空文庫 Aozora Bunko, Project Gutenberg)가 기기의 브라우저에서 열립니다. 그 뒤의 처리는 그 사이트와 브라우저의 방침을 따릅니다. 앱은 어떤 정보도 함께 보내지 않습니다.
Pro 구매: 결제는 Apple 이 App Store 에서 처리하고, 앱은 기기에서 App Store 구매 기록으로 Pro 를 확인합니다. 운영자는 결제 수단이나 Apple 계정 정보를 받지 않습니다.
iCloud 동기화(Pro, 선택, 기본 꺼짐): 켜면 문장, 떠올리기 기록, 사진이 이용자 자신의 iCloud Drive 안 이 앱 전용 칸(파일 앱에 보이지 않는 칸)으로 오가며, 같은 Apple 계정의 기기끼리 합쳐집니다. 기기를 구분하려고 무작위 기기 번호와 기기 이름이 함께 저장됩니다. 운영자 서버를 거치지 않습니다.

5. 위젯, 공유하기, Siri 와 단축어

홈 화면 · 잠금 화면 위젯: 앱은 위젯이 읽을 자료(떠올릴 차례인 문장의 글, 작가와 작품, 담은 문장 목록)를 이 기기 안의 앱 공용 칸(App Group)에 씁니다. 위젯 단추를 누른 기록도 앱이 처리할 때까지 그 칸에 머뭅니다. '내 문장 돌아가며'나 '한 문장 고정'을 고르면 그 문장(최대 60문장)도 이 칸에 둡니다. 직접 담은 문장도 차례가 되거나 위젯에 띄우면 위젯에 글로 보이므로, 위젯을 놓은 화면을 보는 사람은 그 글을 볼 수 있습니다.
다른 앱에서 공유하기: 다른 앱의 공유 메뉴로 떠올림에 보낸 글과 그림은 앱이 문장으로 담을 때까지 이 기기 안의 앱 공용 칸에 머뭅니다. 운영자에게 가지 않습니다.
Siri 와 단축어: 단축어 앱이나 Siri 로 떠올림의 동작을 부르면 앱이 이 기기 안에서 처리합니다. Siri 에 말로 요청하면 그 음성 요청은 Apple 의 Siri 설정과 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 Apple 이 처리합니다.

6. 가져오기, 붙여넣기와 내보내기

가져오기: 다른 서비스에서 내보낸 파일(예: Kindle 의 My Clippings.txt, Goodreads·Readwise 에서 내보낸 CSV)은 시스템 파일 선택 화면에서 직접 고른 파일만 이 기기 안에서 읽어 옮깁니다. 운영자에게 가지 않습니다.
복사한 글 담기: 누른 순간에만 기기의 클립보드에서 글을 읽어 글 칸에 넣습니다. 앱은 클립보드를 미리 읽거나 저장해 두지 않습니다.
내보내기와 백업: 직접 누를 때만 파일을 만들어 이용자가 고른 곳(공유 시트의 앱, 파일 앱 등)으로 넘깁니다. 이 파일은 암호화되지 않으며, 보낸 곳의 보안과 방침을 따릅니다.

7. 보유 기간과 삭제

2.0 에서 운영자 서버에 남는 이용자 자료는 없습니다.
앱을 지우면 기기 안의 문장, 사진, 위젯 자료, 공유하기로 받아 둔 항목이 함께 지워집니다. 기기 백업에 든 사본은 그 백업을 지우면 사라집니다.
iCloud 동기화를 켰다면 iCloud 의 사본은 앱을 지워도 남습니다. iPhone 의 설정 > 내 이름 > iCloud > 저장 공간 관리(계정 저장 공간 관리)에서 떠올림을 골라 데이터를 지울 수 있습니다.
내보낸 파일은 저장한 곳에서 지우면 됩니다.

8. 제3자 제공, 처리 위탁과 국외 이전

운영자는 이용자의 개인정보를 받지 않으므로 제3자에게 제공하거나 처리를 맡기는 개인정보가 없습니다. Pro 결제와 iCloud 동기화는 Apple Inc.(미국)가 직접 처리합니다.

9. 아동

운영자는 아동을 포함해 누구의 개인정보도 받지 않습니다.

10. 이용자의 권리와 문의

12. Android 판

떠올림 Android 앱(Google Play, 패키지 app.vivory.recall)에도 1~11항이 그대로 적용됩니다. 아래는 iPhone 앱과 다른 점입니다.

글자 인식: 사진 속 글자 인식은 앱에 들어 있는 Google ML Kit 글자 인식(한국어 묶음, 한글과 라틴 문자)으로 이 기기 안에서 합니다. 책 쪽 찍기는 Google Play 서비스가 띄우는 Google 의 문서 스캐너 화면으로 하며, 앱은 카메라 권한을 묻지 않습니다. 사진과 인식한 글은 Google 을 포함해 어디로도 보내지 않습니다.
Google ML Kit 사용 진단: ML Kit 은 기능을 쓸 때 기기 정보(제조사, 모델, OS 판), 앱 정보(패키지 이름, 판), 설치마다 만든 식별자와 진단용 기기 식별자, 처리 시간 같은 성능 정보, 오류 코드, 이벤트 종류 같은 사용 진단을 HTTPS 로 Google 에 보냅니다(Google 이 공개한 항목). 앱은 ML Kit 을 앱을 켤 때가 아니라 사진에서 글자를 읽거나 스캔을 쓰기 직전에만 준비합니다. 이 정보는 Google 의 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 Google 이 처리하며 운영자는 받지 않습니다.
Pro 구매: 결제는 Google Play 가 처리하고, 앱은 기기에서 Google Play 구매 기록으로 Pro 를 확인합니다. 운영자는 결제 수단이나 Google 계정 정보를 받지 않습니다. Google Play 결제 라이브러리는 결제 연결의 성공·실패 같은 진단 정보를 Google 에 보냅니다. Android 에서 산 Pro 와 iPhone 에서 산 Pro 는 서로 옮겨지지 않습니다.
Android 자동 백업: 기기 설정에서 Android 백업을 켜 두었다면 문장과 떠올리기 기록이 든 파일(사진은 빼고)이 이용자 자신의 Google 계정 백업에 함께 저장됩니다. 백업은 Google 이 보관하고(Google 개인정보 처리방침 적용) 운영자 서버를 거치지 않으며 운영자는 볼 수 없습니다. 새 기기로 옮길 때(기기 간 이전)는 사진까지 옮겨집니다. 백업은 기기 설정의 백업 메뉴에서 끄거나 Google 계정의 백업 관리에서 지울 수 있습니다. iCloud 동기화는 Android 판에 없습니다.
권한: 알림(선택, 기본 꺼짐)과 기기를 다시 켠 뒤 다음 알림을 다시 걸기 위한 재부팅 완료 수신을 씁니다. 인터넷은 앱이 직접 쓰지 않으며 결제와 ML Kit 라이브러리가 위 진단과 결제에 씁니다. 카메라, 마이크, 사진·동영상 읽기, 위치, 연락처 권한과 광고 ID 는 쓰지 않습니다.
iPhone 의 공유 확장과 Siri 와 단축어(5항), 잠금 화면 위젯 대신 Android 판에는 홈 화면 위젯, 다른 앱의 공유 메뉴와 글을 고른 뒤 뜨는 메뉴의 '떠올림'이 있습니다. 모두 이 기기 안에서 처리되고 운영자에게 가지 않습니다.
삭제: 앱을 지우면 기기 안의 문장, 사진, 위젯 자료가 함께 지워집니다. Android 백업의 사본은 Google 계정의 백업 관리에서 지웁니다.
제3자: Google LLC(미국)가 Google Play 결제, Google Play 서비스(문서 스캐너), ML Kit 사용 진단, Android 백업을 직접 처리합니다(8항의 Apple 자리).

13. 2.0 이전 판

아직 2.0 으로 올리지 않은 판(iPhone · iPad · Android 1.x)에서 책 · 영화 · 드라마를 찾으면, 찾는 말이나 ISBN 이 운영자 서버(Cloudflare, Inc. 를 거쳐 Oracle Cloud 대한민국 리전)를 거쳐 작품 정보 서비스(카카오 책 검색, Open Library, Google Books, 일본 국립국회도서관 서치, 위키데이터 · 위키백과, TVmaze)로 갑니다. 서버는 찾는 말과 ISBN 을 로그나 데이터베이스에 남기지 않고, 결과를 최대 1시간 보관하며(찾는 말은 되돌릴 수 없는 해시로만), 회선 카운트는 길어야 25시간 안에 지웁니다. 표지 그림은 기기가 그 이미지 서버에서 직접 받습니다. 1.x 의 소리 내어 떠올리기는 기기 안 음성 인식만 쓰고 소리를 저장하지 않습니다. 찾기를 쓰지 않으면 이 요청은 가지 않습니다. 2.0 으로 올리면 모두 없어집니다.

1. Summary

Recall puts one line of public domain literature on your widget every day and brings back the lines you keep at growing intervals. There is no account or sign-in, your lines and photos stay on your device, and nothing is sent to the operator's servers. The lines ship inside the app and appear without an internet connection. There are no ads, tracking or analytics tools.

2. What is stored on your device

Your lines (kept from the app or added yourself), their author and work, notes, recall schedule and self-grades, and when you last wrote them are kept in a file in the app's private storage.
Page photos you take or pick when adding your own lines, and the spot you selected, are kept in the same storage.
If you updated from an earlier version, its library records (books, movies, TV, covers, spine photos, progress) remain in the file and are included in backups and sync. They are not shown in 2.0.
These files use iOS file protection (unreadable until the first unlock after a restart) and are included in device backups (including iCloud Backup). Apple holds backups in your Apple Account; the operator cannot see them.
Settings such as reminder time, line language, widget style, appearance and your start date are kept in the app's settings.
If a saved file cannot be read, it is set aside in the app rather than deleted, and the previous version is opened.

3. Permissions and on-device processing

Camera: used only to photograph a page when adding your own line. Text is recognized on your device with Apple's on-device text recognition; photos and recognized text are not sent anywhere.
Photo picking: only photos you choose in the system picker come into the app. The app does not ask to read your photo library. It asks for add-only access when you save a line card image to Photos.
Notifications (optional, off by default): a reminder with today's line and the number of lines due is calculated and scheduled on your device for the time you choose. The line in a reminder is public domain text from the app; lines you added yourself are not included.
The app does not ask for microphone, speech recognition, location, contacts, calendar or health access.

4. When the internet is used

Operator servers: version 2.0 does not call the operator's servers.
Source: tapping Source opens the public page the line came from (Wikisource, Aozora Bunko or Project Gutenberg) in your browser. What happens next follows that site's and your browser's policies. The app sends nothing with it.
Pro purchase: Apple processes payment on the App Store and the app confirms Pro from App Store purchase records on your device. The operator receives no payment or Apple Account information.
iCloud sync (Pro, optional, off by default): when on, your lines, recall records and photos travel through a private container in your own iCloud Drive (not visible in Files) and merge between devices on the same Apple Account. A random device number and the device name are stored to tell devices apart. It does not go through the operator's servers.

5. Widgets, sharing, Siri and Shortcuts

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets: the app writes what the widget reads (the text, author and work of lines that are due, and which lines you kept) to the app's shared container (App Group) on this device. Widget button taps also wait there until the app processes them. If you choose My lines in turn or One pinned line, those lines (up to 60) are kept there too. Lines you added yourself also appear as text in the widget when they are due or when you show them on it, so anyone who can see that screen can read them.
Sharing from other apps: text and images you send to Recall through another app's share menu stay in the shared container on this device until the app adds them. They do not go to the operator.
Siri and Shortcuts: actions run on your device. If you speak a request to Siri, Apple handles that voice request under your Siri settings and Apple's privacy policy.

6. Import, paste and export

Import: files exported from other services (such as Kindle's My Clippings.txt or Goodreads and Readwise CSVs) are read on your device, only the ones you pick in the system file picker. They do not go to the operator.
Paste copied text: the app reads your clipboard only at the moment you tap it, and puts the text in the field. It does not read or keep your clipboard otherwise.
Export and backup: files are created only when you ask and handed to the place you choose (an app in the share sheet, Files and so on). They are not encrypted and follow the security and policies of where you send them.

7. Retention and deletion

In 2.0, no user data remains on the operator's servers.
Deleting the app removes the lines, photos, widget data and shared items on the device. Copies in a device backup go away when you delete that backup.
If iCloud sync is on, the iCloud copy remains after deleting the app. Remove it in iPhone Settings > your name > iCloud > Manage Storage by choosing Recall.
Exported files are deleted wherever you saved them.

8. Third parties, processors and international transfer

The operator does not receive your personal information, so there is none to share or have processed by others. Pro payment and iCloud sync are handled directly by Apple Inc. (USA).

9. Children

The operator does not receive anyone's personal information, including children's.

10. Your rights and contact

You may request access, correction, deletion or suspension of processing at any time. Data protection officer: 조제이 (대표), Vivory Lab, contact@vivory.app, 070-8095-9243. 11. Changes

Changes to this policy are posted on this page with the effective date.

12. Android version

Sections 1 to 11 also apply to Recall for Android (Google Play, package app.vivory.recall). The differences from the iPhone app are below.

Text recognition: text in photos is recognized on your device with Google ML Kit text recognition bundled in the app (Korean bundle, Hangul and Latin). Photographing a page uses Google's document scanner screen from Google Play services, and the app does not ask for camera permission. Photos and recognized text are not sent anywhere, including to Google.
Google ML Kit usage diagnostics: when its features are used, ML Kit sends Google usage diagnostics over HTTPS: device information (maker, model, OS version), app information (package name, version), per-installation and diagnostic device identifiers, performance information such as processing time, error codes and event types (as published by Google). The app prepares ML Kit only right before reading text from a photo or scanning, not when it launches. Google handles this under its privacy policy, and the operator does not receive it.
Pro purchase: Google Play processes payment and the app confirms Pro from Google Play purchase records on your device. The operator receives no payment or Google Account information. The Google Play Billing library sends Google diagnostics such as billing connection success or failure. Pro bought on Android and Pro bought on iPhone do not transfer to each other.
Android auto backup: if Android backup is on in device settings, the file with your lines and recall records (not photos) is saved in your own Google Account backup. Google holds it (Google's privacy policy applies); it does not pass through the operator's servers and the operator cannot see it. Device-to-device transfer also moves photos. Turn it off in the device's backup settings or delete it in your Google Account's backup management. iCloud sync is not on Android.
Permissions: notifications (optional, off by default) and boot-completed, to set the next reminder again after a restart. The app itself does not use the internet; the billing and ML Kit libraries use it for payment and the diagnostics above. Camera, microphone, photo and video read, location, contacts and the advertising ID are not used.
Instead of the iPhone share extension, Siri and Shortcuts (section 5) and Lock Screen widgets, the Android version has Home Screen widgets, the share menu of other apps and the Recall entry in the menu that appears after selecting text. All are handled on the device and do not go to the operator.
Deletion: deleting the app removes the lines, photos and widget data on the device. Remove the Android backup copy in your Google Account's backup management.
Third parties: Google LLC (USA) directly handles Google Play billing, Google Play services (document scanner), ML Kit usage diagnostics and Android backup (in place of Apple in section 8).

13. Versions before 2.0

In versions not yet updated to 2.0 (iPhone, iPad and Android 1.x), searching for a book, movie or TV show sends the search words or ISBN through the operator's server (via Cloudflare, Inc. to Oracle Cloud in South Korea) to work information services (Kakao book search, Open Library, Google Books, the National Diet Library of Japan Search, Wikidata and Wikipedia, TVmaze). The server does not keep search words or ISBNs in logs or databases, keeps results for up to one hour (search words only as an irreversible hash) and deletes connection counts within 25 hours at most. Cover images are fetched directly by the device from those image servers. Recall aloud in 1.x uses on-device speech recognition only and saves no audio. If you do not search, these requests are not made. Updating to 2.0 removes all of this.
